The University of Lincoln Launches MyProgress

The University of Lincoln has taken a significant step forward in enhancing the educational experience of its students by launching the MyProgress ePortfolio throughout the School of Health and Social Care. This innovative digital platform is now integral to the training of students in Midwifery, Nursing, Nurse Associates, Paramedic Science, Ambulance Technicians, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Occupational Therapy, all of which involve extensive clinical practice and workplace-based assessments.

The transition to MyProgress represents a deliberate move by the University of Lincoln to replace the outdated paper-based assessment processes. The university recognised the need for a more efficient, supportive, and technologically advanced approach to evaluating clinical training. MyKnowledgeMap was thrilled to partner with the university to provide the MyProgress ePortfolio, a comprehensive digital solution designed to enhance the learning journey and assessment process. The platform delivers numerous benefits, including:

  • Adaptability for Various Environments: MyProgress supports workplace-based assessments in any setting, whether online or offline, ensuring flexibility and reliability in diverse clinical environments.
  • Alignment with MYEPLG Standards: The platform incorporates the Nursing practice assessment document from the Midlands, Yorkshire & East Practice Learning Group (MYEPLG), ensuring that pre-registration Nursing assessments are standardised and of high quality.
  • Enhanced Reporting and Dashboards: A comprehensive reporting suite and configurable dashboards provide educators and administrators with insightful data, enabling better tracking of student progress and outcomes.
  • Feedback Collection: MyProgress offers a non-intrusive mechanism to collect feedback from clinicians and assessors, ensuring that feedback is both secure and verifiable.
  • Proven Experience: The platform's successful implementation at other prestigious universities, such as Anglia Ruskin University, The Pan London Consortium, De Montfort University, University of Leicester, University of Wolverhampton, The University of Edinburgh, Cardiff University, Ulster University, and Queen’s University Belfast, underscores its reliability and effectiveness.

Capture practice hours with MyProgress

Students can capture practice hours simply using the intuitive interface.

Prior to this comprehensive rollout, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Midwifery, Ambulance Technicians, and Paramedicine students at the University of Lincoln were already benefiting from MyProgress. The expansion now includes Nurse Associates, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy, marking a significant enhancement in the way clinical training is assessed across the School of Health and Social Care. Diagnostic Radiography will also launch MyProgress later this year.

The introduction of MyProgress at the University of Lincoln is a testament to the institution's commitment to leveraging technology to improve educational outcomes. By adopting a digital approach to workplace-based assessments, the university is setting a new standard in health and social care education, ensuring that its students are well-prepared for their professional careers with the most advanced and efficient tools available.
