Brunel University London has introduced the MyProgress ePortfolio, an innovative tool initially deployed for students enrolled in the BSc Nursing programme and Nursing Associates programme, and will later expand to include the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) and MSc Nursing programmes within the year.
MyProgress provides a robust platform where students can track their progress, achievements, log practice hours, receive instant feedback, and maintain communication with educators. The tool also features offline capabilities on mobile devices to ensure uninterrupted access.
The system offers faculty staff and practice educators the ability to monitor student performance and progress in real-time through an at-a-glance analytics dashboard, and detailed customisable reporting.
This functionality not only enhances visibility of individual and cohort progress but also facilitates the identification and support of students who may be lagging behind, facilitating targeted and timely support when needed, and ultimately helping to reduce attrition rates.
"We are excited to implement MyProgress to support our Nursing Students and Practice Educators. MyProgress has empowered both University and Practice Educators to effectively track student progress and data, ensuring optimal support where needed.
The implementation process with MKM to prepare the ePAD for our Nursing Students has been exceptionally smooth. We extend special thanks to Holly, who addressed all our queries quickly and efficiently. No issue was too significant to resolve, and the entire process has been user-friendly and seamless for both students and staff."

As a member of The Pan London Practice Learning Group (PLPLG), which includes 14 Approved Education Institutions (AEIs) across London, Brunel University London plays a crucial role in standardising practice learning and assessments across London. MyProgress serves as the digital portfolio for the Pan London consortium, which comprises over 20,000 students, 12,000 locations, 75,000 practice educators, 17,000 university staff, and involves over 650,000 completed assessment forms annually.
MyKnowledgeMap worked collaboratively with several institutions around the UK, including Brunel University London, to co-create both paper and electronic versions of the SCPHN Practice Assessment Document (PAD) that received approval from the NMC.
The MyProgress Nursing ePAD and the new SCPHN ePAD are designed to be ready to use immediately in MyProgress. MyProgress is used by 50% of UK Nursing students, and an increasing number of students in Australia, Singapore, USA and Europe.
