MyKnowledgeMap is proud to announce that Australian Catholic University has selected the MyProgress ePortfolio to support its nursing, midwifery, and paramedicine programmes.
Australian Catholic University (ACU) has seven campuses across different states in Australia. ACU’s School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine is part of the Faculty of Health Sciences, with around 12,000 learners studying undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in exercise physiology, midwifery, nursing, nutrition science, occupational therapy, paramedicine, physiotherapy, psychology, speech pathology, social work, and more.
ACU’s School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine were looking for an eportfolio to record, store, and archive artefacts of learning and reflection for individual learners. As ACU’s cohorts are so large and are spread over a huge geographical area, varying from metropolitan to rural, a robust eportfolio tool was required, with offline and mobile functionality. One system that could give an at-a-glance overview of all learners' performance and progress, wherever they may geographically be, was critical.
MyKnowledgeMap is thrilled to announce that the MyProgress eportfolio was selected as it is able to meet and exceed ACU’s requirements. MyProgress will be used by ACU’s nursing and midwifery learners to demonstrate professional and personal growth, exemplify evidence-based practice, support workplace-based learning and assessment against learning outcomes, and record completion of hours. MyProgress will also integrate with InPlace, ACU’s placement software.
Ultimately, ACU’s goal is to support and empower learners on their lifelong learning journey. MyProgress will help ACU to realise this by:
- Providing all stakeholders in the learning process with visibility into learner performance and progression. Assessors can monitor student progress, give in the moment feedback quickly when learners are with a patient. Academics benefit from real-time performance and progress analytics for individual learners or an entire cohort so they can stay abreast of their progression and intervene early when needed.
- Empowering learners with visibility of what assessment forms need to be completed, dashboards to monitor their progress, and the ability to receive instant feedback and communication directly to their phone.
- Supporting self-reflection, encouraging learners to think critically and fostering a reflective evaluation of their own performance.
